AWARD GRANTED TO UTAH STATE UNIVERSITY

Lasso Safe is happy to select Utah State University for research of our recognition tool, Sports Wellness Platform (SWP). The project will be led by Dr. Travis Dorsch, Associate Professor and Founding Director of the Families in Sport Lab in the Department of Human Development and Family Studies at Utah State University. Other research contributors are Dr. Mary Woessner at Victoria University and Kat Alexander at USU.

“We are humbled to begin work with Lasso Safe on the validation of their proprietary experience recognition tool. Over the next twelve months, we will engage athletes, coaches, youth sports stakeholders, researchers, and safeguarding professionals to enhance users’ understanding of the questions and measure the tool’s efficacy to identify actual experiences. It’s a great honor to be thought of as leaders in this space, and we take this work on knowing the great responsibility Lasso Safe has to help protect youth in sport.”

— Travis Dorsch, founding director of the Utah State University Families in Sport Lab

Appreciation to Jessica Williams

The SWP research project is supported in part by the generous donation of Jessica Williams. As a philanthropist and mother of three sports participants, Jessica has a heart for the health and wellness of children in sport.

“All children deserve to play and compete in safe and healthy cultures. Unfortunately, sport is not immune to societal ills and I have even seen them amplified in competitive environments. I am happy to support the advancement of research and science for Lasso Safe.”

— Jessica Williams
