Lasso Safe Athlete Representation at F1 Miami

Lasso Safe joins Vetted Sports to represent athlete wellbeing and safety among some of the industry’s biggest tech investors.

Athlete wellbeing and health need to be at the heart of sport. That’s why Lasso Safe is committed to representation of athletes’ experiences with Vetted Sports at Formula 1 Miami.

Last year, F1 racers opened up about their mental health. George Russell published his work with a mental health specialist, Lando Norris about his struggle with depression and Valtteri Bottas about addiction. They are among a community of approximately 35% of elite athletes who suffer from disordered eating, burnout, depression and/or anxiety.

When athletes and their sports leaders take care of their mental health, they can better maintain focus, build resilience, and find balance in the intense world of athletics. Lasso Safe athletes will represent the significance of mental health to key players in sport business tech because, as well as being the right thing to do, it can also unlock improved performance on-track.

‘We all have our moments where we are feeling a bit down, a little bit low but even when we are not, I think talking to somebody to almost have this mental maintenance just to keep ticking over, to keep in that positive place, is so important.’ –George Russell
